As soon as your journey begins, you'll be able to take in the breathtaking views of the Florida coast and watch the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean (depending on the time of year). During the ferry ride, as we approach Bimini or Freeport, you'll see how the blue ocean water transforms into crystal-clear water.
It gets clearer the closer we get to our destination. Upon arriving in the Bahamas, you'll go through Bahamas Customs and Immigration, and as soon as you're done, you'll start your day-trip on your own until it's time to return.
Check-in Time and Deadline
This is a Full Day Trip that begins with check-in at 6:00 am, 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the ferry at Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale. The terminal gate closes at 8:00 am, one hour before the boat departure at 9:00 am. We strongly recommend planning your arrival at the departure terminal between 6:15 am and 6:45 am.
Typically, both departure and arrival are at: Terminal 21 of Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale .
There are some days when the departure and arrival of the Balearia Caribbean ferry do not occur from terminal 21.
PLEASE ensure which terminal is your departure terminal or contact the shipping company. Remember that it's important to adhere to the presentation deadlines to board smoothly. Beyond these deadlines, Balearia Caribbean cannot guarantee boarding.
